Kids Health Notes food review: Fruitabu Organic Smoooshed Fruit

by Grace on May 29th, 2008

No it’s not a wrong spelling. FruitaBü Organic Smoooshed Fruit Sploooshers really does have an extra “o” - for Organic.

Sploooshers_Strawberry FruitaBü Organic Smoooshed Fruit Sploooshers is a new treat for kids that are fun and nutritious too. The fruit snacks come in Organic Smoooshed Fruit, Organic Smoooshed Sploooshers and Organic Smoooshed Fruit Twirls. The Sploooshers come in popsicle-tube of blended real organic fruit. Each tube has about 60 calories and 90 percent fruit juice, and each tube equal one serving of fruit. Sploooshers can be frozen and eaten like popsicles, or just squish the tube and slurp them into your mouth. Either way, kids dig that kind of fun. I can taste real blended fruit from the smooshed grape and strawberry treats. I heard that strawberry and grape are the favorite flavors, but I personally liked the strawberry better.

3D Apple Left-splooshers The Organic Smoooshed Fruit Twirls (apple) was also really good. Kids already have fun with fruit roll-ups so they will be familiar with the Twirls. The Fruitabu Smoooshed Apple Twirls have a natural apple taste to them, with just enough sweetness. That the Twirls and Sploooshers are from organic ingredients only make them healthier - totally no preservative and the sugar only comes from the fruit itself.

FruitaBu(TM) fruit snacks were created by the folks at Stretch Island Fruit Co., a leading developer of all-natural and organic fruit snacks.

Overall, I would give FruitaBü Organic Smoooshed Fruit Sploooshers a health and taste rating of 4.5/5.
