Kids Health Notes give-away: Banjees wrist wallets
Sometimes I really do NOT want to carry my messenger tote with me! If I’m just going for a quick trip to the store, or a stroll around the block with my kids, maybe take a walk after dinner… I so wish I could leave my bag behind. There are just too many unessential, clutter-magnets in my purse! And I think a lot of women (and maybe some men who carry backpacks all the time) will say “oh, yeah!” with me. Right?
So when Sprigs offered to sponsor this wrist wallet for give-away, it was like a problem solved. The Banjees Wrist Wallet lets you carry the essentials - cash, keys, ID, cellphone - in that comfortable pouch and free up your hands. And the zippered wallets have such cool designs they are NOT like black arm bands (unless you like it that way).
So for the give-away: 12 pairs of Banjees Wrist Wallet (one for each hand, of course!) to 12 winners!
How to join:
- What is/are the most unessential items (or weird/unexpected items) you have stashed in your bag, purse or wallet. Spill them out in the comments section.
- Additional entry will be given to those who link this contest post on their site!
- Eligibility - one entry per person per email daily (so you get more entries if you come back tomorrow, but rules #1 (different item/bag) and #2 above apply for each entry.
- It’s open to lower 48 U.S. states only (excl. Hawaii and Alaska). If you have a blog, do post your URL as well, as I love to visit my readers’ sites and catch a conversation.
The contest ends 12:00 midnight EST May 10, 2008 in time for Mother’s day. Twelve winners will be randomly chosen. I will post the winners before 12mn of May 11.
I have 4 other contests for Mother’s Day. Check them out, and join, HERE.

I keep a straw in my purse because once I went to Burger King’s drive-thru while traveling and they were actually out of straws. It was ridiculous and so hard to drink a full pop with the lid off while driving. Now I’m prepared.

The absolutely most unessential thing you will find in my wallet (to this day) are the empty photo flaps…no photos inserted because it makes my wallet bulky when full. Now why I deem it necessary to keep it tucked in it’s place is beyond me…LOL

I just got a new purse last weekend, so it is pretty clean. I just went and dug through it and found that little annoying pack of “Silica” that they love to put in shoes and purses. That is definitely non-essential (and weird).
Oh, I need one of these wrist purses for going to sporting events.

I usually carry a huge purse and its usaully packed, so my un-essential items would be, needles and thread, pregnancy test, (wishful thinking maybe) pluckers and a steak knive.(long story lived in a bad neigborhood)

the most nonessential thing in my purse is the wrappers from my chewing gum…my girls always go in and snag my gum only to leave the wrapper behind. I have no clue why I haven’t cleaned it out yet. I guess it’s just a funny reminder of my kids when they’re not with me (when they’re at school for the day).

I sure could use one of these. I hate carrying a purse so I have a small wallet that I shove everything I need into it. including tweezers. We use to have theme park tickets and hated standing in long lines to get searched so bought a clear id holder/wallet that fits around neck to carry. Needless to say we were on vacation in the keys when the strap broke and that quick someone stole my wallet with everything in it credit cards, drivers license, car keys, all our money. We was stranded.
I would love to win the black fleece one.
(Banjee fleece- BLACK)
Thank you for giving me the chance to win this much needed item.

A keychain holder for a small bottle (about the size of a single-serving hotel shampoo) filled with hand-sanitizer alcohol gel — some of the bathrooms you will encounter in life cry out for a toxic chemical spill just to wash away the toxic waste spill, but a couple of drips of alcohol gel on a toilet seat and a minimum of tissue-work, and you have a nightmare-free perch for the kidlet(s) or whomever!

This falls in the unexpected items category:
A month or so ago I was looking for a misplaced item and ran across a beaded clutch my mother-in-law had given me some time ago (probably more than a year earlier). I’d never really used it — not my style — but for some reason I picked it up and unzipped it. Imagine my surprise to find a $50 bill inside. Talk about UNEXPECTED!!!

I used to occasionally take my dog to Pet Smart. I always took one of the plastic bags for potty break to clean up after her before we went inside. I found one of the plastic bags (unused) stuffed in the side pocket of my purse. We had to have her put to sleep last fall, so I think it is time to clean out my purse.
