Review: Aquafina Alive Enhanced Water beverages

by Grace on April 4th, 2008

Aquafina_Alive_Energize_IMAGEPepsiCo has reformulated its Aquafina Alive line of beverage with four enhanced water products that have added nutrients.

I got a chance to try three of the water beverages and they all tasted great! As with other flavored water, the Aquafina Alive products come in different fruity flavors. But unlike others in the market, they actually contain nutrients without the calories! One has fiber, another contains anti-oxidants, or electrolytes. If you’re all about getting hydrated but don’t like calories, why not have one that’s nutritional too, right? There is even one with caffeine for a calorie-free perk-me-up.

What was great too, Aquafina’s new beverages Aquafina_Alive_Satisfy_IMAGEalso have none of the washed-out taste, like when you drink the last few sips of an iced tea that only has ice left in it. Instead, they are full-flavored, with just enough sweetness, and no calories (except for the one with fiber - 10 calories).

Three are currently out on the market  -

  • Aquafina Alive Energize is enhanced with about as much caffeine as an average cup of coffee and is a good source of B vitamins. (Calorie-free Orange Lime, with caffeine, 10% DV of Vitamin B)
  • Aquafina Alive Satisfy is one of the only waters on the market with a significant amount of fiber to help lightly fill you up. (10-Calorie Peach Mango, with 10% DV of fiber)
  • Aquafina_Alive_Protect_IMAGEAquafina Alive Protect is a good source of E and C vitamins. These beneficial antioxidants help to protect the body from free radicals. (Calorie-free Berry Pomegranate, with 10% DV of Vitamins E and C)

The fourth beverage is coming out soon. Aquafina Alive Hydrate is enhanced with electrolytes to replenish the nutrients an active body loses throughout the day.(Calorie-Free Lemon, with electrolytes, sodium and potassium)

Oh, and they taste even better when chilled.

A caveat: These beverages are not intended to replace meals or serve as the primary source of water.

Interesting! I haven’t seen this yet but I’m always up for trying new things like this. Can’t wait to get my hands on a bottle! :)

I’ve tried the Satisfy and Protect flavors and they’re really good! They didn’t taste too sugary and sweet which is what I don’t like about some of the other “waters” I’ve tried. It’s also nice to see some flavored waters without calories and sugars.

The Alive Satisfy Peach mango was available at the Go ST. Louis marathon last weekend and it is absolutely fabulous!! However, I have looked at both WAlmart and Shop and SAve and cannot find the product. Where can I purchase some?

barbara - I’m not really sure what happened to it, if they pulled it off or maybe the store ran out of stock. Let me get in touch with someone from Aquafina. I’ll get back to you soon.

Barbara - Aquafina Alive Satisfy (Peach Mango) should still be in the market. it’s newly released, so maybe the store just ran out of stock.

Your peach mango is delicious; however, I cannot fnd it in any stores in Phx, AZ. They all had it and now don’t stock it. Can I buy it by the case on line somewhere?

I tried the wellness alive water berry pomegranate and fell in love with it. I saw it was repackaged tried it, and really disliked it. I realized the ingredients had changed also. Too bad, why change a good product.
